Devlog #34: A Quick Update


I’m back from my zelda break, and I have done nothing as planned! Well actually I have done some stuff, but nothing that would make for a good devlog, so this week will just be a quick update.

Recent Progress

Over my break I finished up Yusuke’s recruitment quest including a full tutorial battle, some cutscenes and unlocking the hammer tool. I've also made a lot of progress on the northern area. Here’s the mostly finished entrance to the area-

Game Trailer

I spent most of my game dev time this week editing a proper trailer. I’ve fully planned it out now, and all that’s left is to capture the footage and edit it- which is taking forever because I’m learning as I go and making lots of mistakes. The trailer will be around a minute and a half and it’ll be a rapid fire of footage from the game, timed to the music somewhat. I’m just gonna cram in a bunch of cool stuff and hope that viewers are intrigued enough to give it a go.

I don’t want the trailer hanging over me for a long time so I’m gonna try and smash out as much of it as I can this week-

Goals for this week

-Work on the trailer (finished if possible)
-Finalise the animations I need for the trailers (e.g. POW finishers)
